Santa Clara Candlestick Holders

By Pablita Chavarria (1914-1979). Pair of candlestick holders twisting upward with finger holds at the bases. Marked in pencil; "Santa Clara Pueblo" on one and "Pablita Chavarria" on the other. Born Pablita Tafoya in 1914, she married Jose Chavarria and had many children - all potters in their own right. She made a wide variety of pottery art in the traditional Santa Clara style.

Condition: Good condition. No breaks or repairs. Several chips in the slip and wax residue from use.
