Native American Turquoise Bracelets

Stones such as turquoise add beauty to your jewelry set and apparel. Turquoise is native to Southwestern jewelry and has been used in Native American Indian jewelry for centuries. As such, turquoise bracelets have continued to be a favorite among customers who enjoy Southwestern turquoise jewelry. Most the turquoise bracelets have been handmade by members of the Santo Domingo, Navajo, Zuni, and Hopi tribes throughout the years.

One of the great perks of our turquoise bracelets is they rarely go out of fashion, so you can always wear them with many different outfits. On our website, you will find we offer turquoise jewelry and bracelets for both men and women, and you will even find turquoise bracelets for youth. If you don’t find the Native American turquoise bracelets you are looking for, just let us know. We would be happy to try and find it for you or make a special order for that special turquoise bracelet.

Navajo Bracelets

Navajo bracelets and other jewelry go back to the 1860s. Often crafted with turquoise stones and sterling silver, bracelet making has spanned across many generations. As such, most of the Navajo bracelets you’ll find on our website are authentic antique pieces, with some also being contemporary pieces. All our Navajo bracelets are genuine, unless otherwise stated in the product description. Pair a bracelet with a squash blossom necklace for the perfect match for your wardrobe, or give a bracelet as a gift for a loved one. Read more about the history of Navajo jewelry here.

Zuni Bracelets

Similar to Navajo bracelets, Cameron Trading Post’s Zuni bracelet designs are crafted from beautiful intricate sterling silver and turquoise designs, however, you’ll also find that the artists use black jet, red coral, and mother of pearl. The common difference between Zuni and Navajo bracelets is if you notice that the stones are large and unshaped, then it’s likely a Navajo piece. Meanwhile, Zuni bracelets look a little different due to being crafted into intricate cut stones and stone inlay.

Native American Bracelet FAQs

What is the meaning of the Navajo bracelet?

Throughout history, Navajo bracelets were crafted and worn to reflect an individual’s cultural identity, status, or wealth. In modern times, Navajo jewelry is typically worn both among natives and non-natives for the purposes of fashion and to honor the Navajo religion, culture, and traditions.

How can you tell if Native American jewelry is real?

To tell if your Native American bracelet is authentic, you’ll want to check the product image or the bracelet you have for any signs of wavering lines or lopsided designs. In addition, an authentic piece shouldn’t show any signs of poorly-cut or irregularly-sized stones, and there shouldn’t be any visible glue. If your bracelet or other jewelry piece is free of any of these issues, you probably have a genuine piece on your hands.

Is all Native American jewelry marked?

While today you’ll commonly find your Native American bracelet from a Navajo, Zuni, or Hopi artist with the artist’s initials, name, or symbol, this wasn’t always the practice. Older, antique pieces may or may not have had the artist’s initials or symbol. At Cameron Trading Post, you can trust that all our Native American bracelets and other jewelry are genuine, (whether they are marked or not), unless otherwise stated.

Why is Native American jewelry so expensive?

Between the time and care it takes for artists to craft the jewelry, the demand for authentic pieces of genuine bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc., and the lower supply of these pieces; you’ll find that Native American jewelry is quite expensive. The rarity, intricacy of the design, and age of the overall piece will impact its final price.
