Wide Ruin and Chinle Rugs
These Navajo rugs from the Wide Ruins are all handwoven. Wide Ruins area rugs are known for their exceptional weave and sublime colors all achieved through natural vegetal dye processes. Colors can include greens, browns, tans, yellows, oranges, reds, white and black. Wide Ruins rugs are similar in style to the Crystal rugs which both use geometric shapes and patterns. Wide Ruins rugs are woven with thin, straight lines of contrasting colors and bands of serrated stepped designs. Most of these specific rugs are woven with a soft mixture of earth tones which create a soft tone. Rugs measure four to seven feet long.
