Eva Betonie

Artist Profile

Eva was born in 1968. She is a member of the Navajo tribe and was born into the Zia-Black Streak People Clan and the Red House Clan. She is from Prewitt, N.M. Eva learned her craft from her mother who worked with the Papago tribe. She has been making pottery since 1990. Eva passes on the stories and histories of the Navajo “so the children learn about our ways”.
