Berleen Estevan

Artist Profile

Berleen Estevan began studying pottery making when she was ten-years-old. Her teacher was her late grandmother, Lucy Juanico. While Lucy taught Estevan the traditional way to make pottery, Estevan has developed a style of her own. Her handpainted greenware and hand coiled pottery is painted with kokopelli, animals, mimbres, angels and pottery designs. Estevan signs her pottery: B. Estevan, Acoma, N.M.
