Apache Buffalo and Elk Hide Moccasins

Native tanned elk hide and Native tanned buffalo rawhide. Red ochre and blue pigment paint. Sinew thread. Elk hide vamps rubbed with red ochre. Blue pigment painted design down the center of the vamps ending in a crescent. Fringed back seam. PROVENIENCE: Ex Bob Coronato collection (Western artist and collector. Santa Fe and Wyoming).

Condition: Very good condition. Slight tear at the upper rim of the left moccasin.
