Navajo Pot “Navajo Yei bi Chei Dancers”
Navajo Handmade Vase Lucy Leupp McKelvey. Made of Native clay that has been hand-coiled and hand-polished, this vase is formed with the monuments and the mouth in relief. The mouth of the jar is representative of the Navajo ceremonial basket and the body is elaborately painted with a scene depicting the last night of a Navajo healing ceremony known as a Ye'i be che'i, during which the healing gods are represented by masked dancers.
