Santo Domingo Shell Pendant

Santo Domingo mosaic inlay shell pendant by Mary Coriz Lovato. Mary C. Lovato, daughter of Santiago Leo Coriz, was born to the Corn Clan in 1936. Her parents encouraged Mary to learn the art of making jewelry at a young age. She considers her jewelry traditional with a contemporary twist. This shell pendant is inlaid with uniquely cut fragments of turquoise, jet, white shell and tiger iron with a sterling silver bale.
