Navajo Sandpainting

Navajo handmade framed sandpainting with five Yei Bi Cheii dancers by Bilson Kee. The sandpainting is created in a careful and sacred manner, according to the ancient knowledge of the art. They are used to restore balance and harmony by performing one of the many Navajo chants in a ceremony.
