Kevin Naranjo, “Turquoise Mountain” was born into the Santa Clara Pueblo in 1972. His love of nature and his family inspired him to continue the long tradition of hand coiling pottery at the age of ten.
Kevin specializes in hand coiled black/sienna Santa Clara pottery. He crafts traditional designs with wildlife scenery on the exterior of the pottery. The first piece he made was a dinosaur which sparked an interest in molding animal figurines. Kevin signs his pottery: Kevin Naranjo, Santa Clara Pueblo. He is related to Dolores Curran (aunt), Geri Naranjo (mother) and the lage Ursulita Naranjo (grandmother).
