Artist Profile

Corrine Chino began making pottery later in her life, at the age of twenty six. Her mother, Edna Chino, encouraged and taught Corrine the fundamentals of making pottery in the traditional way. Although she waited to become a potter, she was a natural when she did try her hand at the art of pottery making. Chinoメs very fine painting style of black on white has been defined as モexquisiteヤ. Occasionally, Chino adds a blue feather design at the top of her pots for flare. モI just love to paint, it brings balance to my life,ヤ Chino said. Chino signs her pottery as: Corrine Chino, Acoma.
