Comanche Child’s Shirt

Native tanned deer hide, Venetian beads, fringe, thong decorations, Native pigments, sinew thread. Shirt construction with sinew thread. Neck tabs at front and back. Fringed at the shoulders and down the sleeve seam. Strip of beads at back and front of neck seams. Each neck flap beaded with a crescent design and beaded panel of blue outlined red triangles. Rubbed with yellow ochre. Scalloped bottom and sleeve ends. Thonged fringe at intervals on flap edges.

Condition: Very good condition. Bottom side of one flap worn with slight bead loss at that corner.
