Artist Profile

Andy Juanico was born into the Acoma pueblo in 1954. He has been making art since he was 30 years old. Andy specializes in making artifacts. He uses gem beads, rawhide, artificial sinew, leather straps, duck feathers, horse hair and his imagination The results are very rewarding to him. He turns all of those materials into different artifacts such as dreamcatchers, spears, dance sticks, cou sticks and anything his mind can create.

Andy attaches his own certificate of authenticity with every piece of art he creates. The certificate lists his name, census number and tribe affiliation. Andy is related to Marcus Garcia (brother) and Virginia Garcia (sister-in-law).
