This is a Navajo Pictorial rug. Pictorial rugs are normally from the old Dennehotso trading post area, northeast part of the Navajo reservation, (closed in the 1980’s)the design is several arrows and 4 bows surrounding a diamond shape in the center. The rug is mostly woven out of natural colored wool (grey, brown, white) but has some aniline dyes in some of the bow, arrow and center design. Either end of the rug has cloud designs.
Condition: good for age, some small amount of wear and some restoration
